Crazy lens cap price

I need a 95mm lens cap for my 200-500mm lens. The Nikon brand is 33 dollars, while a Tamron brand is 10 bucks..What gives?

I don't know why some of those plastic pieces cost so much.

And knock-offs are two bucks on ebay.

I lost a original Nikon lens cap a few years ago and when I went to replace it I found out the same thing. I bought a off brand to replace it and have been careful not to lose one of my Nikon caps since. I do think the Nikon ones are a bit better than the no name ones.

It doesnt say Nikon on the Tamron cap,next question:cheerful:

Do a google search for HK 55, maybe this is what they are really selling for that price.
