I'm getting an ad for Canon cameras on the forum page... Now that's a confident marketer; putting a Canon ad on a Nikon camera web-site!:witless:

Consider the source! These ads are posted by the same idiots that spoof a local phone number. Robocall your phone. Don't leave a message when you don't answer unknown numbers. And if you did try to call them back, you can't because the number they called from is invalid. This despite the fact that Under the Truth in Calling Act, FCC rules prohibit any person or entity from transmitting misleading or inaccurate Caller ID information with the intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongly obtain anything of value. Since the Government refuses to enforce their own laws, is it time for some vigilante type action? Rant over

Who do we go after? Those azzhats are very-well versed and exceedingly experienced in the Art of Not Being Found.

The best course of action I can think of is for ALL of us to simply not spend a dime on anything they peddle. If there's no money in it for them, they will go away. Sadly, there's enough people who buy their junk to keep their boiler-room operations functioning.

I have been flooded recently with these type calls. I messed with a couple of them just for fun and to let out some frustration.

I think there's nothing we could do about those robocalls. Or, if you have time, I think tracking down those robocalls and suing them is the only choice for us. I read at My $4,500 Payday from a Telemarketer about someone who sued a company after being robocall-ed multiple times within short period of time. The plaintiff won the lawsuit and received few thousands dollars as compensation.
