I have been lacking drive to get out and take photos lately, and this has got me thinking about what I should do.

And what I have decided is that I am going to pick up a brush again and start painting and see if I can still do it :)

Now the fun part about buying supplies, I do know it will be oil paints and canvas. Will probably start small but honestly I think bigger is better haha.
I have plenty of images to paint from in my Lightroom catalogue so no problem there.

But it will mean less photos taken and posted, but I hope it ignites my passion once again.

What a guy. Willing to loan a camera. Deciding to get back into painting and place photography on the back burner. Next we will see you with hair like the late Bob Ross.

I'll take your other cameras.................;)

Good luck to you Scott, I know you will find your inspiration..........or it will find you. Don't be a stranger.

Good luck with that Scott. My Grandmother painted her whole life and I have a ton of her paintings... most all were landscapes and they are as great a memory as my granddads photos. But I do hope we will see some photos...

So there will be a 2018 calendar with 12 of your paintings, available next December? Would be a good follow-up to your 2017 calendar, since my wife also paints (oils and acrylic) on canvas, so you'd still be selling to the same household. :)

Not to hijack the thread, but I remember watching Bob Ross on PBS with my dad, when I was a kid. I remember "there are no mistakes, just happy accidents"
That guy was the mellowest dude I ever saw.
Here he is Scott Murray if you don't know who we are talking about.
