... and I want to kill myself.

So far I've learned that Nikon is now making a bunch of GoPro's, and that Nikon has paid for one and only one piece of music for all of their promotional videos, causing an earworm that has exhausted my will to live.

Wow. Absolutely nothing else introduced.

Nothing!!

Did Nikon need to introduce anything else, particularly in the DSLR market? Probably not, though folks seem to think the D810 needs some sort of replacement (I suspect the "need" is more of a "want"). But if this is the basket where Nikon is putting its eggs, I suspect Sony will be getting more and more converts in the coming year. Not me, I'm happy. But if I wasn't, I'd be less so today.

I'm not exactly in need of a new body anyway having just got the d500 and still very happy with the d750. It'd be nice if they had a new d8xx just to keep up with the MP race but hopefully when the successor does release, there'll be a more significant addition than MP.

I'm excited about the key mission 360 though. I had a Ricoh Theta S that I unfortunately lost but it was a really fun camera. Having a boost in resolution and a protective body without a case is a nice plus too and worth the increase in price.

What get me is they have a no fault policy on their optics outside of photography lenses,,,, Sort of like oh well there just photogs, we can live without their future business.

Well, there's a significant range of Nikkor optics that get used in a wide variety of areas, with photography supplying the most rigorous of abuses. Within the DSLR lenses you have folks who questioned whether or not they should fork over more for a zoom lens than they did for their iPhone, and you have specialty glass used by a very select number of pros.

Suffice it to say that I suspect the support for a Nikon pro would be far closer to that of non-photogs than what you or I get, and that makes sense. To go "no fault" for the guy who (literally) tosses his camera into the trunk of the car and wonders why it won't focus now, blaming it on shoddy construction that they believe should hold up to their standards, is to go bankrupt quickly.

If you want to feel like me, NikonLife on Facebook has a live feed.
Sometimes I'm glad that I have a blue collar job,so I can't pretend to be working while watching Facebook videos at my desk.

Someone has to get those refreshing Coke products to the warehouse.

Don't judge until you work in an office that has you reachable 7 days a week, supporting a sales staff on every continent with a conference call schedule to match.

Well, I've been waiting for them to announce those action cameras for a while now so I'm happy. Disappointing that they didn't announce anything else though.
