Storm Warning!!

Well, Hermine's forecast track cone now includes here, at its western limit. While I don't want it to hit here, I refuse to wish it on anyone else.

For now, it appears that the impact here will be minimal, but the track keeps shifting west, and it is now forecast to be just shy of a hurricane when it makes landfall. I was going to the Orlando area this Friday, but that is likely out of the question as the forecast track crosses my travel path at about the same time as I was going to cross it.

For the rest of us who live in the storms impact path, such as Rich (richnmib), hunker down or evacuate, but stay safe.

You guys stay safe.

We had lots of rain Monday night and Tuesday all day. Overcast here today and started to drizzle around 3:30pm. Rain went away after supper and managed to get in a ten mile bike ride.

I thought this was going to be a thread of storm photos! :)

Maybe I can get some tomorrow, but my time is likely better spent finishing the storm prep for us and one of our neighbors. For now, the only indications of the storm around here were the dozens of surfers at the beach. They were really there about 12 -16 hours too early.

Hope all are ok. Alabama looks like it is going to be spared even a drizzle. A very unusual jet stream is dipping down from Canada (Thanks Canada) all the way down to south alabama and then going back up in Georgia and pushing all the storms away from us. AND giving us much more pleasant weather for a couple of days. Only made it to the low 90s today with humidity levels below 50%
