Five year Anniversary at Nikonites

Today is my 5 year anniversary, boy have things changed!. After following this site I for a while I joined and jumped back into photography with the D3100. Back then the must have bodies were the D700 and D7000, it seemed the most popular lens was the 18-200. Many people have come and gone since them (some of them I miss :)). I've learned and re-learned a lot here and made some good friends. In the past five years I've owned the D3100, D5100, D600, D610, (I may have an addiction!) and many lenses. While I shoot Olympus now, I lurk in the shadow awaiting Nikon's Dx or Fx Mirrorless. Regardless of brand or format, this remains the best photography site I have ever been a part of! Thank you all, looking forward to the next 5!!

Congrats on the 5 years Rick. I hit 5 back in September. I really can't get out to shoot like I used to, (It's hard for me to lug around a camera bag, Tripod, Cane and Oxygen Tank). I do check the "New Posts" every day just to see what others are doing. There are a lot of people here who are amazing photographers and I love looking at all of the photos being posted and reading the stories on how they got that particular shot.

I've been a member for almost 3 years, and I really enjoyed seeing your D600 photos. Actually I miss seeing your work as you don't seem to post as frequently now that you don't use a Nikon.

My 5 year comes up in May. I think I have been down the same road with cameras too. Started with the D3100 and then the D5100 when I dropped the D3100 and it exploded. Then moved up to the D7000 which I though was a great camera till I bought the D7100. I was satisfied with the D7100 and sill am but felt I needed a little more so I got the D750. It never stops.

Congratulations.

In 3 years time I will also be here 5 years:)

You're right @Rick M , this is the best forum whether be photography or anything else that I have been a part of.
Sometimes when I feel like saying something that might be less appropriate, I have to remember that this is a classy joint and refrain meself.:encouragement:

I always enjoy seeing your stuff. I don't care if it's from your Nikon or any of your other cameras.

Work has slowed me down somewhat over the past few years (that's why I gave up being a moderator here). Hopefully things will be better this year! :)

My 5 year is in may Rick. I kind of lurk too. Throw out a few pictures and answer a couple questions occasionally. Ihavbeen bsy with my small photo business. Local photos and group pictures and parties. Making the local tour guide and occasional web page. Otherwise been busy at the Post Office working long hours. Congrats.

And since you are a Super Moderator you get upgraded to the big corporate jet now that you have hit the 5 years mark.

I found a phone number for Dave Winn but no answer so far. Will try again right now.
