Got a few choices on my interest list but none may happen.

1
Nikon 300 f4 and 1.4,mainly because I would like to know what all the shouting is about, its possibly one of those lenses all wildlife photographers should have in there kit.

2
Watching with interest the rumored release of the new trio of 1inch sensor cameras, the one that’s caught my eye is the 24-500mm,if that’s full frame equivalent then your talking 64mm-1350mm,nice birding camera.

The least likely is the Tokina 11-16mm.just don’t know if I don’t see wide angle or I just have not got wide enough to interested.

Having seen some of the excellent shots in the "post your birds" and "birds in flight" on this website, I am looking at getting a longer lens for the camera, like the Tamron 150-600mm

But, a friend suggested looking a bridge camera with say 60X zoom like the p610 or the 900,

I know the quality will not be the best, down to a few factors like sensor size,

At the moment I am sat on the fence,
tamron 150-600mm, the Nikon P610 or Nikon P900.

I would not recommend a bridge camera or any mirrorless camera for wildlife as your only wildlife camera and i have a couple and enjoy using them :D:confused:,they do have serious limitations, now if thats what you want there would still be loads you could do,unfortunately BIF is not one of those things.

P900

I'm pretty determined to get the Nikkor 14-24mm ultra wide angle lens, and likely a new Gitzo traveler systematic tripod!
Though I admit it might not be doable, I am also hoping to get the Nikkor 24-70mm too later next year!lol :)

I'd like to get a 24-70 f2.8 and a tripod/monopod next year. Followed by a longer length lens further down the line...

I also want to upgrade my laptop to a desktop so I can start to enjoy editing photos again.

I've expressed to Santa my extreme need for a Nikon 135mm f/2D DC for portraits. Nothing else like it I'm aware of... I'd also like to upgrade my laptop since the one I'm on now is about a step up from a Netbook. Lastly, my main PC, "Screaming Pig IV", would reeeeeally like an nVidia GTX 760 video card but that means a new power supply as well.

So yeah, I'm cheap this year: Just a $1,400 lens, a spankin' new laptop and Santa, if you're reading this (and I'm pretty sure you are!) if you could just leave a few hundred bucks for components on the coffee table, next to Jesi's lump of coal, that would be great! Oh, and Santa... The key is under the mat, big guy; no need to shoulder down the door like last year.

Would like to replace my Sigma 24-70mm with the Nikon 24-70mm non-VR especially if the price comes down a little more. And a Nikon 16mm fisheye. I don't do birding or wildlife so fortunately the desire for a telephoto isn't there. ;)

Nikon 200-500mm.
After that, I'm pretty much set. I'm going to spend my money this year more on new places to visit and shoot, then buying gear.

I pretty much got all I need but might replace some lenses. I'm still trying to find "my thing" so replacements will depend upon what "my thing" will be.

I'll be traveling the whole year anyways so there's little use in throwing out money when not really needed.

First on my very flexible list is the D750 for its low light capability, but it could be bumped by an acquisition of opportunity at any time. It might be easier to list what I'm not looking for... :p

105mm VR macro. 85mm prime. Better tripod. Tokina 11-16. Might be lucky enough to see the macro and the tripod by the end of the year.

150-600 would be amazing, but it's not on the short list, just a hope/wish/want.

Oh, and a Jeep to get me to all of those amazing landscape shots nobody else gets to see. ;)

Well, i might not get any as i'm thinking of setting up my own business and i'll need every spare penny. However, the stuff on my radar would be a Nikon 24-70mm, maybe even the VR version(?). Another D4, as i keep getting requests for more indoor event shoots, and thirdly a used 14-24mm.
