I have not been around here much in the last month or so, been very busy and not a lot of time for photography. I did go out today and shoot a large population of "Honkers", Canadian Geese, in a large lake nearby. They have a habit of sticking their butts in the air as they root around in the mud for crustaceans and the like. It then came to me..........."Bottom's Up!" I shot this with the D700 and 600mm f/4 and TC-301. Definitely tripod material, but a terrific 1200mm f/8 it makes! I am still working my way through the rest of the images and will post a few when I am done

Yes I know it is St. Paddy's day eve, but true to me Eire-ish ruuts, only me maternal grandmother was not full blooded Irish, being half Scottish, you start celebrating the day before, In fact I have a neat Irish Whiskey by me side as I type this. To this day, I can still put on a very convincing Brogue. I only wish I had to time to learn Gaelic.

Erin go Bragh!
