Do you Tweet?

Just wondered how many of us have a twitter account. I have one for my real business and also post some of my photos there. Short story one of my tweets was picked up today by the Weather Nation (I don't follow them and they don't follow me) and they asked if they could use it for their 3 and 3:30 live reports. Since I never really knew about them I did a quick Google check, downloaded their app from the play store and gave them permission to use the photo.

Before we get into the old "did you get paid" I don't do this for a living and really don't care about a picture used on TV or Internet as long as my name is attached to it. Besides as my daughter, who is a pro, said "Dad it's great for the resume since you do help me from time to time". So I figure the brag value for her is worth more anyway.

Back to the original question, have any of you had things picked up like this from twitter? I have had a couple of my photo tweets re-tweeted by the local newspaper but never a more National Service like this one.

That's great Alan. Congratulations. I do not tweet, but if you hum a few bars I'll wing it. If anyone knows how to tweet it should be @wev, because of his many bird photos.

Congrats Alan. I didn't know you could post pics on Twitter. I myself don't use it.
Oh, BTW, forget the D750, I'm buying me a Coolpix.;)

No, I don't tweet.

Is this photo posted somewhere else here on Nikonites? It sure looks familiar.

Thanks everyone. I use twitter for business, a necessary evil. So I figure as long as I have to use it I could have some fun with my photos on it. @hark, I just took it today but did use another one that I took from the same tree on my 52 thread.

This particular photo isn't in your 52-thread. You have a similar one, but not this one. Yet I saw something earlier today that looked just like this. Since I don't watch TV, if it wasn't on here, then it came through my Facebook news feed. Now I'm trying to find it. Will let you know if I do. ;)

Well, I just scanned the past 12 hours of my news feed...found the photo, but it isn't this one. For a moment, I wondered if someone pilfered yours. ;) All is okay. :encouragement:

For a minute I thought you might be friends with one of my Facebook friends. That would be a way you would have seen it as i posted it this morning on Facebook right after i took it.

I do have twitter, I sometimes send weather related pictures the the local weather guy, who re-tweets them, and they do get quite a few views.

I should probably get back to tweeting, but as soon as I start blogging heavily again about something. Kind of pointless for me at the moment since my content is going slow and very, very niche-specific.

no twitter or tweets only a good fart now and again again again...........

Never underestimate the value of a good flatus. I have actually said in an elevator when someone farted, "well if no one is going to claim it I will!" You get some really priceless looks!

Personally I find Twitter to be pointless. I can do everything I can do on Twitter and much more on Facebook or Google+.

Twitter works well for me. I have a limited attention span.,,,,,,, What was I saying? Oh yeah, the short tweets are easier for me to not wander off in mid
