Tapatalk --- Opinions

I have seen some posts that say "Sent from Tapatalk" or something like that.

Questions:
Those who are using it for following forums, are you using it on your iPhone or iPad?
Have you loaded the latest version? If so, do you like the new version ie layout, etc.? Are you having any problems (bugs) crashing, etc.?

All comments pro & con are appreciated.

I have never used a Fruit product before, but just purchased an iPhone6 and have been looking at new apps.

Thanks

I don't have an iPhone. But tapatalk works great on my Windows phone. Fastest way to browse the forum on the go.

Beg to differ slightly with the above posters :)
Tapatalk WAS great...
there have been a few updates recently that has really screwed things up imo...
but like Deez says, it is probably the best solution out there at the moment.

I use it on my Blackberry which I believe is the android version. No issues at all. As already mentioned, it's nice to have when I am away from my laptop.

Whitelight, your response is what I am reading in the APP reviews for Apple. Many have said that after the latest update it isn't as good.

Previously I had a Windows phone, but never tried Tapatalk on that OS.

Now for another follow up question. Data use for this forum. Is it a Data Hog? Do photos show up or can you make a choice as to open them or not open them? I am not on an unlimited data plan, so I have to watch how I use the phone. Ha!

Haven't had any issues with the recent version, they did change the layout and it looks different but so does everything else these days. Not a data hog, the images loaded are very small and you have to click on them to get a bigger version. I use it on iPhone's, Ipad's with no issues.

I use Tapatalk daily on my iPhone 6, as well as my iPad mini. On more occasional use, I'll use it on a Nexus 7 tablet as well.

I've had no issues with the latest update. It changed a few things around, so had to update my process for jumping around forums, but it's worked solid and I'm used to the new flow now. Generally, in the evenings I try to stay away from my home office and so usually also away from my computers, so any posting/reading in the evenings for me is done via Tapatalk on one of my two iOS devices.

I use Tapatalk on my Windows Desktop and Android phone. Not much issues.

On the Windows desktop, I have to log in to Tapatalk each time it updates.

On both the Android and Windows, I notice that the feed doesn't have all new posts, I don't know how they are displaying it. But if you enter each individual forum from Tapatalk, you will be able to see all the forum categories and posts.

I believe this is for all platforms, but I you can't view some attachments or the details of the attached pictures. For example, in the Education forum where they have info graphics, I see the image but I can't tap it to make it bigger.

Other than that, I like the fact that I can subscribe to a lot of different forums and only have to open Tapatalk to see the feeds for them instead of visiting each individual site. I like the display of Tapatalk. Formatted for mobile use so it is easy to see. Some forums are not optimized for mobile.

I use it on my iPhone. I find it easy to follow the timeline of postings and responses to threads I have participated in than on my pc. For actual posting and viewing photos I prefer the pc. This goes for all the various forums I am a member of.

Incidentally, tapatalk is how I found Nikonites.

I use it on an iPod Touch and like it. I actually like using it on this forum better than on my desktop.
Sadly the updates are usually requested soon after you master the current format.
