Hi Nikonites!

hope you all are well..
It has been a while since i've posted on here... hope you all remember me!

quite strangely & unfortunately, i have not clicked a single pic in almost 6 months...
the lighting gear that i got is still unopened in the box...
not sure what it is, but i have had the drive missing in me :(
i used to come on here daily, though i wouldn't post to see all your work..
but that depressed me further..

just dropping by to say that i miss you all...
i think about many of my friends here...
all of you who have helped me so much right from the day i bought my camera.. helped through learning what photography is all about..
just general chatting..
and honestly wish i can make a comeback soon..
missing photography very much.. it's like a limb has been pulled out of me...
perhaps something you'll say will get me back.. i dunno

take care everyone

Hey buddy! It's sooooooo awesome to see you here my friend! I sure hope you'll be able to get past this slump, and remember how fun it was getting all those awesome macro shots I've been so envious of! :D
Just stick around here for a while chiming in, and maybe you'll get your spark for photography back buddy! :D

Well i had been away from photography for quiet a few years cause of work and other things.
But when the grand children came it got me back in with work just having to deal with it.
Very happy i did. Cause when I'm gone they can look back at the photos and remember all the good times. thing in my family is that when we grew up the picture taking stop so after early
school years don't really have any photos of us and events we took in.
I'm showing the grand kids how to record there lives and friends so over the next decades they will be able to see how it was. and so on.
So Whitelight maybe this will help you get back. record your kids with photography and then grand kids.

Good to see you again, WL. I think everyone goes through what you describe at least once in their lives. Like writers block, the more you focus on the block the worst it gets. I've found that my muse comes and goes and when it's not there, it's just not there. No amount of obsessing on my part has ever brought it back. So my advice is to just relax and avoid thinking about it and before long you'll find yourself wondering what this or that would look like in B&W or how that light would look if you were at a different angle. Soon the muse returns and you'll be right back where you were before she left.

I don't know your story since you must have left before I came here. So, what is the problem? Are you ill, or don't have a camera any longer?
Perhaps you stopped having fun because you got to the point, where the pursuit of the perfect shot was becoming frustrating and all consuming?

If you're really missing photography like you say, what is stopping you from picking up the camera and going out shooting?

I have always found your work to be an inspiration and can not wait until you can share your vision with us again. Glad to have you home again.

@WhiteLight

I could use some help as I am new to Nikon and would love to talk to you. Ignite that passion within you and remember, "without exertion there can be no progress." Bear Grylls.

Would love a mentor and a shooting buddy. Let me know.
