Did you really watch the game?

As I sat and watched the Super bowl (well sorta) my wife asked "did you see that?" and my reply was not really. She looked confused. Then I told her I spend more time looking for the photographers and try to see what equipment their using. I do this whenever there is a situation that calls for it. She rolled her eyes. Am I the only person that does this? Do any of you?

Being a Peyton Manning fan, I soon found myself focused instead on the spread of football snacks my wife prepared.

I'm a football fan. If I see a photog on camera, I always note what he or she might be using, but I don't allow that to interfere with the game. With me, the game takes precedence over all.

Had to work, didn't watch and when I do its usually for the commercials.

I found myself doing that a lot once I started getting back into photography. Not that there was much to watch in the game anyway.

I watched for the first quarter, then slowly started to lose interest.

I watched the game, but took note of cameras, especially after the game when the photographers swarm around the athletes.
Not much of a game - but there were many great cameras!

I watched the commercials and surfed nikonites.com

Peyton and his crew watched the game, as an outsider i watched it and surfed on here a bit

I wondered what the health insurance/life insurance policy premiums are for the photographers sitting at the back of the end zone.

I think I'd be more concerned about equipment insurance.
