Do you keep the original camera/lens and flash boxes?

I normally do not keep original boxes expecially with the flat screen TVs. I've been holding on the Nikon and other camera related boxes for a while just incase if I want to sell them in the future. For those equipment that I do not intend to sell, I usually dump it like my Gitzo tripod.

So, for the camera, lens and flash gold boxes, do you keep them or toss them? I am hesitating on mine since I tend to upgrade every now then although I also have mentioned before that I was more than satisfied with my previous equipment but later have sold them for something newer.

The only remaining equipment that I have in the picture below are the SB800 flash and Nikon 16-35mm lens.

Your thoughts?

I keep them cos it is not that much yet, just D80, D5100, 40mm, 50mm, 55-300mm, 16-85mm, the 18-135 and the 18-55 came with the KIT.

I keep my camera and lens boxes because resale prices seem to be a bit better if you have the original box and all the stuff that came in it.
I only have one camera and 5 lenses, so no big deal really, all fits in one drawer.

I dont keep boxes. I absolutely hate clutter. And when I upgrade to better kit. I already know who I am giving the gear I don't need to. So i don't need the boxes for resale.

It's a disease that I picked up from my Mom. Didn't hurt that when I helped clean out their basement when they moved south that all my old GI Joe stuff was tucked back in the original boxes. Still can't bring myself to sell it though. :)

Yes, I keep mine and the camera store owner was so excited when I sold my D7000 that I had all boxes. Now, I dont keep all boxes, only boxes for the items that I currently own. Electronics boxes, except TV's, I will break down and store for about 6 months or so and have them recycled if no issues are found with the device. Except my Nikon boxes. I have them stored in various places so no one can take a picture like Sam had and tell me I have a problem.

With each Nikon DSLR, I kept the boxes and tried to give them to the camera store when I traded in. But, they did not want them, so I ended up lugging them home again. I ended up throwing them away or using them to mail things to people - hahaha and they thought they were getting a D5100 from me, lol. I still have my box from the 7100, but it is being used by my daughter for her lego. I have kept the boxes from my Fuji X-Pro1 because they are like cardboard Pelican cases, complete with foam cut-out inserts and magnets in the lid flap and side of the box to keep it closed. On the most part, I get rid of boxes because I don't like clutter.

I always keep everything the lens comes with. It increases the price should I decide to sell the lens.

Don't ask me why. It just does.

Boxes go in the trash once I'm convinced the lens will not need to be returned. Like Deezey, I don't like clutter and I'm very selective about the lenses I buy in the first place, so I rarely find myself selling them.
