I've just bought a rocket blower and lens pen from these guys: Photoshack.co.nz About NZ$45.00 for the two.

I could have got the same thing from Amazon for way less: Giottos Cleaning Kit which includes a NIKON Lens Pen and lens cloths! Grrrrr …..

Way less than half the price for more.

I need to chummy up with one of you US guys to get this stuff for me.

The rocketblower on the Amazon link is a medium. I can't find any info on the other one. It's either a medium or a large. I have all 3 sizes: small, medium, and large. The small isn't great by any means although it will puff some air. Both the medium and the large are good--of course the large will produce the bigger blast of air.

Here in the US, the Nikon lens pen is listed at $7.49 on Amazon, and the medium Giottos blower is $8.85 so it seems the kit is a decent value. Of course the shipping from the US to New Zealand is what will get you, Lawrence. ;)

National Medicine? Do you mean national health?
Our health system is pretty good and fairly cheap being a bit of a socialist country.
However if you are on the "national system" you do wait, those with private insurance get taken care of first.
I hope I haven't gone off at some weird tangent @JohnFrench

@hark the one I got is pretty big about 5" from exhaust to tip and it does give a good burst of air.

I think I may take a trip to US with an empty suitcase one day and fill it up with accessories for the return trip.

I've been to NZ before (Christchurch), and it is expensive. But, you have a very nice countryside. I spent two weeks up in the hills.

Hey Lawrence, I know how you feel, we get a raw deal over here as well, but I have have heard its more expensive in NZ than Aus.

I paid $24 for my large Giotto rocket at my local camera shop.

^^^ That's what mine cost and the pen another $20.00
$45.00 in all is a LOT more than US$10.00

Yes Welly is the new Shakesville.
