Not sure if Mrs. O is ticked off with the flirtatious undertones from the next seat or she's just not happy with the behavior at a funeral.

The look gets more serious

Get on this seat Mister..

Now that looks more appropriate to pay last respects to probably the last real leader & hero of our times

The penalty for that behavior, is that I will probably not vote for our prime minister Helle Thorning Schmidt again:disgust: . She did'nt look that happy the day after that happening, but it was because she had to find a new Justice Minister and a new minister for foeign affairs, well it's another story:nightmare: . Well, I guess the photographer earned some $'s .

I think is looks bad on both of them and the countries they represent. They were there to pay their respects to a great man and great leader who was instrumental in changing a country. They behaved badly and should be ashamed of how they acted.

Agreed. No matter the party affiliation, this was a bad decision by those involved. Sad really.

Agreed, I must say that I'm ashamed on behalf of our Prime Minister. It's ok they have fun together, but it is just bad timing in this situation. The photos are great but...

And Mrs. Obama always looks like someone slipped her sour milk for her cheerios. However, this may just be her natural look and I hope this is true for everyone around her and that her nature isn't what the facial expression looks like.

After reading the blog, it doesn't matter. As a "dignitary" they need to be cognoscente of every image they portray. In this case it is disrespect regardless of the context.

This is the point right here. They can spin it all they want, it was a poor decision bottom line.

I agree with the premise, but also feel that approved behavior is a factor of circumstance. These are leaders, but they also human beings, in this case seated in a stadium of people reveling and celebrating the life of a great leader, in song and dance. This was not the somber funeral alluded to in every caption that goes with poking at the photo, this was a party, and for 3 world leaders to pose for a photo with each other in the middle of such revelry seems in no way out of line, particularly as they sit in their seats while others celebrate. Were it taken in a somber moment, or when they should have been paying attention to another speaker, perhaps. That was not the case when the photo was taken.

Obviously political predispositions and partisan politics plays a role in how many view this. I'm no fan of the POTUS, but I am a fan of the human condition, and the humanity displayed in this photo does little to dampen my faith in humanity. Obviously YMMV. :unconscious:

The thing that strikes me the most in these photos is not the fact that they are happy taking this picture, it's how unhappy the Mrs POTUS looks.

I may have far too high expectations of the POTUS. There are times for fun and times to be a role model. It may be to much to expect him to pay attention to the event. His behavior is what I would expect from a teenager, not the POTUS. I did not vote for him, but I do pay part of his salary. I would just like a little more professionalism for my money. :)

I will also add that I am equally disgusted with all major parties, so this is not about parties to me. They are all working towards the destruction of America and the middle class. I'm done now before I get in trouble :)

Oh I think you've been in trouble for quite a while now Rick. It's just a question of finding out how far down you want to go! ;) ;) ;) :p

Something that's explained in the blog post by the photographer. She was nothing of the sort, it was just a case of wrong face at the wrong split second.
