Camera give away

I hope I'm not violating any rules by doing this. If so please delete mods. I was going to sell my trusty Fujifilm S700 that I've had for awhile now. I've throughly enjoyed it. But I have out grown it and have moved on to other cameras. So, instead of selling it I thought I'd give it away here. The rules are simple. You need to be a member with at least 30 posts. And it must be for a new photographer in your family. To enter post a picture of who the camera will be going to. I would like it to be a younger person that shows a interest in photography. The contest will end December 15th. That way I can get it mailed to you so the winner can use it Christmas. CONUS only please. The winner will be drawn via a random number generator. Good luck! The S700 is a point and shoot style camera with 7mp and 10x zoom.

Good idea. I have been able to gift two of my cameras to family members to learn on in the last couple years.In both cases they have seen photos taken from the camera and have goals to shoot for.

That is what I'm hoping to achieve with this. When taking pictures you are really put in the position to see what you're looking at. A trait a lot of young people are missing

This is an excellent idea and I was even thinking the other day about my D80 gathering dust (Hmmmm somewhere in the house) and thought it could be better used by someone else.

Very very nice gesture and I look forward to seeing who the camera goes to and maybe even a few photos ;)

Although Rebecca does deserve the cute vote I'll do my part and bring this up to the top and maybe stir some more interest in this noble cause of helping someone else be able to send their visions into the world. I know, kind of long and corny but you all know what I mean.

I been trying to think of someone I k now who could use this but I just gave my Fuji S4000 to the only people I could have thought of.

What if you checked to see if a local school would put it to use as a teaching aid for the kids? Just a thought.

Thanks for the idea. But if no one else enters to make this a random drawing then it will be going to Rebecca.
