Does this site get slow or stop at different times of the day?

Hello! I'm relatively new here (~3mos.) and am really enjoying the knowlege I'm gleaming. My thanks to all contributors!

On many occasions the site seems to slow or stop loading completely. Is it just me or is it hit and miss for everyone? My connection is solid via FiOS 50/25 and I'm pretty much spoiled with pages loading instantaneously. At random times of the day Nikonites loads like a dial up modem or maybe even times out after running fine for the first 10 minutes. I know there's routine maintenance to be done and congestion is possible, but I don't see this typically elsewhere or I wouldn't be here posting this.... well, complaint is a strong word.

Hard to complain when you join a community of nice folks and gather great info for free. :)

Where does this server reside physically?

I am on a cable connection in a small town in Alabama and I am on A LOT and never see that kind of problem. I mean a few times the site has had a problem but I am talking two or three times in the last couple of years.

Thanks, Don! Based on your reply I did a tracert and found what looks like a bad/questionable router between me and nikonites. Looks like when I get handed off to "networklayer.com" system routers my connection gets crappy. You can see the 8th hop timed out. Any other Angelinos having same issues?

Looks like networklayer.com is your culprit - if it is was your provider you might be able to get it fixed, but maybe not that. I'd complain anyway. Who knows.

Regardless, as a retiree I frequent this site a lot throughout the day and evening and never experience slow downs.
