Just bought a Nikon type F focusing screen for my Nikon F2. That's the one with the 12 mm microprism focusing spot. I think it'll help out with some of my wide-angle lenses. And possibly focusing in dimmer situations.

I hear you on that. I needed to sell my Fuji X100T so that we can make a family road trip to my sisters. It's not an emergency but we still had to make the road trip and we needed the funds for it.

    Re: Post your latest purchases.

Although I really didn't need anything photography-related, I stopped into Allen's Camera where they were having their annual sale. Picked up a NOS Gitzo series 2 monopod (aluminum) which is no longer manufactured. It was also on sale so am very happy. Currently I've been using a Manfrotto monopod, but I prefer twist locks as opposed to the flip locks on the Manfrotto. Will put my Manfrotto monopod head on it though since I am not a fan of Arca Swiss heads. A few years back, I also bought their last aluminum Gitzo series 2 tripod which is terrific. It's a shame Gitzo no longer makes aluminum tripods or monopods. They are extremely well-made.

And I also spoke with Jared Polin who used to be an employee there. He was helping out in some way. There were also reps from Nikon, Canon, Sigma, Tamron, Fuji, and a few others so many things in the store were on sale. Fun day for sure!

This is the camera I had as a youngster - oh the fun I had with this "Swinger" in the Swinging Sixties.

Dug into my old album for a sharable polaroid - this one struck me as probably my most accidentally artzy photo from that era - my kid brother and my Dad on a hammock.

I don't have many of my old Swinger shots - wish I had more.

But having a copy of that camera in my Vintage collection brings back memories.

    Great for short telephoto outside.

The "She Shed" kit arrived today - costs the same as a Mavic but it does not fly.
My dearly beloved is so excited to have this new 'she shed' she has lots of plans.
This "She Shed" is a "thing" google it.

Seems 'assembly is required' and an allen wrench ain't going to do it.

Diving into the realm of "paid to shoot" so upgraded my lens stock just a bit. I had the 50mm 1.8 and 105mm 2.8 that I put to good use, but now...

How about the Tamron G2 24-70 2.8 and a Sigma 85mm 1.4 art? (Crummy on-the-run phone pics) This 85mm art lens looks monstrous even on my gripped D750! Can't wait to start shooting with these!
