I am always amazed how long Nikon stocks spare parts, my local camera store seems to be able to get lens elements for out of production lens. I envision this big parts wharehouse some where in Japan. I wonder now that so much stuff is being made in China/Thailand, if spare parts will be as avaialable in the future.. bet not.

but that site is pretty limited, would love to see the full offering,, like how much for a D700 shutter?
You think about it, a D700 is almost forever, except for the shutter, might be a good idea to buy the part and store it,, for a future use.

It is very limited - I had a very quick look around, and looks like the few parts I saw were more the 'user repair' kind, rather than something you'd have to send in to a specialist for repairs
