When Arctic tempertures come to Texas
I thought that folks might be interested to see the havoc that sub-zero temperatures wreaked in my neighborhood. The image is from a group I shot to support my insurance damage claim. I posted in this forum just because I happened to use my Panasonic FZ1000 II. What's shown are the remains of the fire suppression (sprinkler) piping that was in the attic of my finished garage. Thankfully, there was no similar destruction inside the house.

OUCH!! Yeah, I agree: I hope your claim gets processed pronto, and you get a new one installed. Lucky indeed that that was the only thing affected!

Come to Scotland in the winter and even the summer for that matter
and you will not believe in gloBull warming. In the winter frost damage to mains water pipes, gas pipes, brick work, rendering, roads is a common occurrence. @bluzman, I hope you get it sorted soon.

I feel your pain, I lived in upper Washington State, north of Puget Sound for a number of years. The climate that far north is quite similar to Scotland and the rest of the UK as the latitudes are pretty close. Our saying up there is that people in Washington, don't tan, they RUST. We did not see that much snow but we did see a lot of freezing rain. Summer times could be quite pleasant with moderate temperatures but the winters SUCKED
