Fuji X70 - the pocket rocket

I used to own a Ricoh GR that I used for my street work when a large camera was not appropriate, it was a superb camera but with only a fixed LED that was difficult to see the subject matter on at low angles - along came the Fuji X70, same size as the Ricoh and with the sensor from the Fuji X100T, touch focussing / shooting on a really good tilting screen so I switched to the Fuji.

It is a wonderful camera that is very tactile, responsive and really well made yet small enough to easily fit in a jacket pocket and with a fixed 28mm lens allows you to get close to subjects and look like a tourist.

Alas, Fuji no longer make this camera as the 16mb sensor is no longer available (Sony stopped production), there have been rumours about a replacement but as yet nothing so I will stick with my X70 for the occasions where a larger camera is not practical.

These are images I took in Cardiff when we were there for the day.

Thanks Mike,

They were very well organised and as can be seen had even set up a clothes stand - they obviously had a prime location in an empty shop doorway that they had made their own.

It is so sad that we see more and more homeless people on our streets while those in power pontificate and line their own pockets at the expense of those in need - a sad state of affairs!
