Olympus EM-5 Mark II. Sensor shift technology creates 64 MP high resolution images by shifting the sensor over 8 exposures (not the same as layering). Kinda nice when a significant crop is still 34 MB!

I really like the retro look with metal bodies/dials and the pro series of lenses/metal barrels. Hopefully Nikon will come out with an Fx mirrorless someday!

I think they should. If they don't they are going to miss the boat.

My first real shot. Single HR image tonemapped, this may change the way I do HDR. Viewed at 100%, the image would be 8x10 FEET!

Nice! You have to post up a full size hi resolution shot. I'm sure a lot of people are curious to see what it would look like in all its pixel glory.

One can clearly see tinted glass in cab, nice contrast of whitish rock residue and clay soil on blade and on the ground, the opening in the exhaust as contrasted to the exhaust pipe inself, true-looking Cat color, green foliage, sky and cloud color, radiator seems crisp as well as everything else. Distant horizon clear, no halos or other disturbing artifacts.

Color superb. Details sharp and realistic.

Excellent PP, as usual.

It is as if I was standing there looking at it.

Overall, this image looks to me a notch above anything you have produced in the past.

Catapillar may be interested in an 8x10 copy, who knows?

Thanks Carroll! I'm trying to keep it real.

Very Nice Rick.

I am seriously thinking of switching to Olympus mirrorless - what is stopping me at this stage are 4 issues:
1. Cost
2. Getting rid of my Nikon gear to fund it
4.Using a Nikonites lens cloth to clean the lenses and
3. The worst of the lot - having to leave Nikonites

Lol, don't do it! But...,

1. Bodies and lenses (including pro) cost less than Nikon
2. Yes you will take a hit on selling gear
3. I use my Nikonites lens cloth on Oly glass! It only bursts into flames if applied to Canon glass!
4. I'm living proof you can live in two worlds :). I found a Nikon hot shoe cover yesterday in my gear cabinet, so I still have legitimacy here! Once a Nikonite, always a Nikonite! (and I paid $20 bucks so they can't throw me out!)

Its sad but number 3 would be a strong consideration for me,i know i could stay but wouldn't feel free to post in any section i wanted,i am a casual member of a couple of other forums but they are no where near being Nikonites :D
