Great site - having been looking at it for a week and decided to jump in.
Just got D3100 w/18-55mm and 55-200mm lenses. Had a Nikon back in
the day and happy to get back to SLR! It's been way too long.
Halloween party last night gave me a good opportunity to try it out. Overall
pretty happy. Did have a few that blurred (night-outside party) but I think
I know why.... we'll see. I'll post a few once I figure out how!! Original file
size too big right now...

Welcome to the site. Post lot's of pictures and get involved. This is a great site for learning and sharing ideas :) Glad to see another SoCal member join up (I'm from N Hollywood)

Thanks to all! BTW Jack - I have a D3100, not 5100.
Apparently there is a size limit on downloading images - I'll have to keep them under 1.4 or 1.9 mb. Is that correct?
Hopefully I have some time in the next day or so to play around with it...
