TIME-LAPSE??..hi everyone, I've about gone out of my
Mind, reading and reading the Internet for my solution!!
The problem, as I'm starting to go into time-lapsing, mainly-night lapses, I'm stuck between the right camera??. I currently have a D7000, and looking to upgrade! And go full-frame. Now I know the D700 is a good camera, but.old!!.. So I'm thinking,D600. But I keep reading the ISO on it could be a problem?.. Then i keep thinking D800?.. But shooting 800-odd shots at 36mp could be to much?. Which sd/CF cards would see me through?.. Also. Bulb ramping?.. As canons don't have this problem, is there a inter-velometer that could help?. The bramper seemed brilliant?. But not for nikons!.. Which camera do you feel is right?. As I'm sick of seeing everyone using canon 5d mkii/iii cameras for this!. PLEASE-HELP!!

yeah, that is a bit of a dilema for sure. There are folks on here that have the D600. You may want to PM them and ask if they can take some high ISO shots for you so you can examine the results. Could you not use FX mode on the 800 if you are worried about filling up the mem card? Or even adjsut the size of the picture - going down in MP? These are things that i would look into and you may get some answers that will point you in the right direction. As for the other stuff, i am sure someone else will come along and give you some advice.

Here is a time-lapse shot with the D600 (not mine)

And another.

and the D800

enjoy.

In my opinion both of these cameras are capable of capturing amazing time-lapse video.
