I just saw Kamesh's thread, and thought I have done the same thing, so here goes.
My name is Brad, I am 48 years old, I live in Central Queensland, Australia.
I worked as a Diesel Fitter in the mining industry for about 26 years. I got very sick a few years ago ( cancer ) and almost died, this bought about the need for a change of pace and lifestyle.
My wife and I now own, and run, a retail business.
I had some 35mm Nikon gear ( Nikon FG, and a few Nikkor lenses ) when I was younger and backpacking around the world. This stuff got stolen in one of my travels. I bought a Ricoh fully manual SLR to finish my trip, it was pretty disappointing ( I still have it ).
I have a hobby of making pens, I am just starting to set up a website to help me sell them, and I needed a better camera than my Wifes Canon Ixus 750 P&S, so I got myself a Nikon D3100 with the twin lens kit.
I have also got a 2nd hand 55mm AF Micro Nikkor, that I hope to use for my pen photos.
While researching on the internet about lighting for light boxes and tents, I found this place, so here I am.
