Oddly enough, I thought I had signed up last year but my email wasn't recognized today. Not a biggy.

Ontario, Canada is where I am from.

I have 5 Nikon cameras at the moment with the 'possibility' of a sixth to come (D850). Funny enough, I can't add my newest addition, the D780, to my list here.

I have a trove of lenses as well. My last two purchases are the Nikon 200-500mm f-mount and the Nikon Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 Ai-S lens. It's been on my cameras a lot lately, and I found that I seem to achieve better results on my D7200 & D7500.

Looking to add the 70-200mm next, but in which designation/type remains to be seen (Z or the FL), possibly the Z 14-30mm and a 24mm prime (Z or G mount).

I have a wide range of interests in terms of the types of photography I like to do, although I do tend to shy away from portraits and weddings (I've done both) until I can hone my skills.

Looking forward to sharing & viewing everyone's work and reading opinions/reviews on the lenses and camera I am looking forward to adding to my gear.

Tim

Welcome.

I just ordered the 200-500. It should be here later this week. I plan to use it on my new Z5 with the FTZ adapter. My daughter may be able to pry it from my hands to use on her D5600. I used to do a lot of portrait stuff back when I did film. Not so much now.

Welcome back! Be sure to check out the weekly and monthly challenges, a fun way to interact here. The 14-30 f4 was the second native lens I added to my Z6, after the 24-70 f4 that came with it. Very impressive lens!

Welcome @JustMeTim, I hope you enjoy it here. As for the lenses you're considering... I have both of the Z mount lenses you mentioned. I think you would be very pleased with either of the 70-200 or 14-30. They are great lenses. Enjoy.
