Hello from Virginia
A short bio:
Born and raised in western PA. Introduced to photography at an early age (my dad had a studio for several years), and I started doing 120 contact prints around the age of 10. Eventually moved up to Omega enlarger in (much) later years when I put together a darkroom in an old farmhouse I was renting and living in after I got out of the Service and had moved to Virginia. All of that went by the wayside when we moved to a different house and I never had a suitable place after that. Still have the equipment squirreled away in boxes tho’, so who knows?
Most of the stuff I shoot these days is strictly for fun with digital cameras. Still have a bunch of film cameras I want to start using again, including my trusty Nikkormat. Have a Speed Graphic press camera that I want to bring back to life, so guess that will be my next project. It belonged to my dad and it has been sitting dormant for a very long period of time.
About to turn an another page in the chronological calendar in a couple of days, so we’re going to try and keep this party going for as long as we can.

Guy, Welcome to Nikonites! Looking forward to your posts and pictures. Where in western PA do you come from? I was born and raised in Greensburg, but haven't been back since my parents passed away. Still have quite a few relatives living in Westmoreland County. I was in the service as well (Army) from August 1966 to August 1970. Got started in photography while in the service. Thanks for your service, and glad to have you here!

Pictures from 1966-1970 during my time in the Army. Not much storage space which necessitated SEVERELY reduced file sizes so I could fit them all on the site.

Thank you. Army Strong, as well ('63-'66)
We were "neighbors" there for a spell back in the middle ages. I was born/raised in Latrobe, but moved to New Castle when my dad changed jobs when I was about 8. My mom was from Latrobe and used to work at a savings and loan in Greensburg before she got married, rode the trolley back and forth every day. She was good friends with the Schallers that used to have the bakery in town.
Small world.

AH,MAN........why did you have to bring up Schaller's? LOL! We used to go past that place every Sunday when they were baking, and it was "drool city"! They made some VERY GOOD products. Thanks for the memories, Guy!
