Hello from Kentucky!

I first picked up a camera to seriously learn about 6 years ago. But alas, my daughter was too young, and I couldn't juggle teaching, children, and home and learn something new. Photography wasn't something I could just quickly pick up on. So I put it aside. Now, 6 years later, I'm here and ready to learn!

I still have the same beginner D3200. It has served me well so far. I just picked up a 50mm lens, but I am experiencing difficulty with it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on getting it out of manual focus :)
I'm happy to be here and hope to learn a lot!

Welcome!

The best thing to do if you having a problem is to post a picture showing it. Provide details of camera settings and a description of problem. Many helpful and knowledgeable people here. You may want to start a new thread for it.

Welcome to the forum from another Kentuckian. I agree with Needa. Sending in a photo is a quick way for us to ID it, because not all 50 mm lenses are autofocus on a D3200. The AF-S 50 f1.8 G is one that will If the one you have AF 50 f1.8 D it is manual focus.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride.
We look forward to seeing more posts and samples of your work.

If it is a D lens, it will not autofocus on your camera.
