Hello Forum,

Long term photo hobbyist here from central PA. In film days (started out in the later 70's) I used Pentax equipment, I got into digital late first with a D5100 (sold) this year I got a D7200. I have been taking more photos than ever more often as the D7200 is a pleasure to use and fun to "figure" out.

I enjoy nature photography, landscapes, but like taking images of nearly anything. My challenge is composition witch I must say I always must "work" at.

Been learning a lot here just reading (for many month's) and figured I should join. -- Bill

Hi Bill and welcome! The D7200 is a great body and will bring you lots of enjoyment. Have you learned any basics for composition such as framing, leading lines, rule of thirds, symmetry, negative space, etc? There are also intermediate composition concepts such as the Golden Ratio.

Here is an interesting article that conveys some of these concepts: https://petapixel.com/2016/09/14/20-composition-techniques-will-improve-photos/

Nice to have you here. :encouragement:

Hark, Thank you for the link -- a very interesting article -- I must train myself to "think" about composition, I hope old dogs can be taught :) (I know they can).

All - thank you all for the warm welcome

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride.
We look forward to seeing more posts and samples of your work.

You have, in my opinion, the best DX camera made for your purposes. I love mine.
