Hello!! I'm new to the forum and new to photography. I have always been a cell phone picture taker and always wanted a DSLR camera, especially after my son got big enough to ALWAYS be moving. The cost and the size (did not fit flush in my pocket) always deterred me. My husband bought me a used Nikon D70 on Ebay with an 18 - 70 mm lens. I got it two years ago and have never picked it up til now. But here I am... picking it up.

If you have any questions, ask away. Whether you’re shooting an older model Nikon or the latest/greatest, the fundamentals are all the same and odds are that several people here have direct experience with the camera you’re shooting!

Welcome to the forum, we are looking forward to watching you learn and progress. I got into photography using a cell phone too. My husband got me a D3400 one year for Christmas and then we both got hooked. We have upgraded from the D3400 to a D7200 and a D810. I like the forum because I can ask questions to a lot of people with much more experience and I get great advice. I also like the contests because they force me to learn and try different things with my camera, and it is a fun way to learn. I hope you enjoy the forum.
