New member, D500 video help?

Hello, my name is Jeff Dixson and I am from Burns OR. I go by CameraGuy97720. I purchased a D500 and have recently started doing videos and time lapse videos using a 24-70 VR lens. The only book that I have is the manual that came with the camera. Does anyone out there have any suggestions for a book or video that explains the functions of this camera a little better. One of the problems I'm having is keeping a constant focus while doing videos. Thanks for any and all suggestions and information.

Howdy and welcome to Nikonites!!!

Most of my video experience has been with the D810, but other than HD vs 4K the functionality is pretty similar. Depending on what kind of video you're shooting (most of mine has been interview type stuff), I switch the camera and lens to manual focus and handle that myself to avoid both the AF noise and any hunting that might take place. Since I started using off-camera mics, I'm not as worried about the AF noise, but still prefer to do manual focus when practical.
