Oh I guess I should have also mentioned that we're Canadian snowbirds to Coronado and never get tired of shooting surfing, etc. whilst wintering there. TTYL

Welcome to the forum. What camera are you shooting?

If you fill out your profile and add the camera gear we can better answer any questions that you might have.
You can do that at http://nikonites.com/profile.php?do=editprofile

Under camera just put the model number like D7100; Once you put the first letter like D you will see a list of all the cameras in the database pop up. The more numbers you put in the smaller the list becomes. When you see your camera just click on it, Be sure to click on "Save Changes" in the lower right corner.

Thanks

So I have to ask...is this you? There are both pros and semi-pros here but none who write in the 3rd person. Or are you promoting someone you know? In any case...welcome! :)

HI Cindy, I currently teach the Digital Photography Certificate Program at Red Deer Community College in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. The entire program is online through their Distance Learning dept. so I don't ever have to actually live or even visit, the city of Red Deer. Cool or what? I've photographed at a much higher level since I retired almost 15 years ago and have authored and delivered almost three dozen direct delivery and online courses most of them in digital photography and digital SLR technology. Can I ask you what the difference is between using the Reply button and the Reply to Thread button?

Very interesting, Tom. Nice to have you here. :)

The difference is kind of like unlocking your car with the remote vs. the key. Both will unlock the door for you. ;) So not really any difference...at least on a computer. Some people view the forum via Tapatalk--maybe it's easier for them to use the big honking button with their fingers, I don't know for sure though, Tom. Lol. :D
