Excited to have a "real" camera

Hi! I just joined a few days ago after getting my first DSLR. I have been enjoying browsing and learning from the site. I researched for several months and then decided the best entry level DSLR camera for me that would not break the bank was the D5300. I got it with AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55 f/3.5-5.6G VRII kit lens (refurbished by Nikon to save a few more dollars). I have a beginners understanding of the exposure triangle and have been practicing shooting in manual but right now aperture priority mode is my favorite.
Looking forward to learning more especially about post processing.

    Howdy and welcome to Nikonites!!!

The D5300 is a great camera, and I think you’ll find the kit lens to be a surprisingly capable!

I hope to see some of your images in the weekly challenges soon!
