    Hello from the Smoky Mountains

Hi! I am Gordon and I thought I would celebrate today's arrival of my new D7200 by joining the Nikonites. I've been shooting Nikons semi-pro and pro for a long time, 35+ years. I worked as the staff photographer for a newspaper for 6 years some time ago. Nowadays I shoot mostly landscape with some wildlife and birds thrown in. My wife, Jan, (she shoots too) and I live near the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Gatlinburg, TN, USA. You can learn a bit more about us by visiting our online Smoky Moments gallery at Smoky Moments - The Photography of Gordon and Jan Brugman . Smoky Moments also has a Facebook page with close to 2800 people following our posts. I try to post an image every several days or so. We would love to have you "like" our page and join the Smoky Moments family. If you are in the area, you can see our prints at the Mountain Woodcarvers gallery in Gatlinburg. I look forward to posting a few images, exchanging some ideas and, above all, learning from my fellow Nikonites. Imagine that, shooting for close to 40 years and still learning something almost every day. You've gotta love photography!
