Welcome to the forum. Two questions. First what is you budget? Second is what kind of photography don't you want to do?

Welcome to the forum, Dave. I have the SRT101, at least I think I do. My Granddaughter borrowed it about 6 or 7 years ago and I haven't seen it since. Ha! I'm not sure if she has either. As has been mentioned, budget and type of photography you're interested in will be factors that will determine any recommendations from the group here.

    Hi Don,

Let me gather my thoughts and then reply to you. Good questions to help me decide which camera body to start with.

My Minolta SRT-102 camera ushered me into the photography hobby in 1975 and has served me well ever since. The only other camera that I've owned is part of my iPhone 7 and I didn't get a cellphone until Christmas 2016. Obviously, I don't like to rush out and buy the latest technologies. LOL

I'm looking forward to learning about the Nikon brand from you all. Cheers! Dave
So where in MD? If you want to session sometime I'd be happy to let you try my 600 and Df to help you figure what you want to get yourself. I'd personally, and depending on budget, actually suggest 71/7200 or Df for all the right reasons.
