Greetings,
My name is Jerry and I reside in Bradenton/Sarasota, Florida. I have been amateurishly shooting since 2012, after purchasing D7000. My current collection includes:
Speed light sb900
18-105mm
55-300mm
50mm 1:18G

I have interest in growing into full frame and as a result have been looking at purchasing:
D800E or D810
Sigma 20mm 1:4 DG ART
Sigma 85mm 1:4 ART
85mm 1:4D or G

Subject interest include people (mainly my wife because she is such a beautiful model), nature, weddings, large gatherings and walking photography. I consider myself an amateur and use every experience for the furthering of knowledge. I actually have a Quinceañera coming up for a coworkers daughter, and my gift is going to be very nice photo's. With that said, I have a lot of practice that I need do with light, absence of light, subject positioning and etc

Howdy Jerry and welcome to Nikonites!

Why the interest in both the Sigma 85mm 1.4 ART and the Nikon 85mm 1.4 D or G lens? That's a lot of money to tie up in two nearly identical lenses. Just curious, not intended as a critique or complaint. I went with the Sigma 84mm 1.4 over either the Nikkor D or G variant because of price and the results it provides. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Greetings RocketCowboy,

I have interest in purchasing whichever one of those lenses that I would be able to get a good deal on. It was a hopeful message, the overall hopes of getting my hands on one. Thank you for your opinion about the different lenses, I will take that into consideration when determining my final selection.
