I am new here. I have been play shooting for several years. It all started with a 365, I was always intimidated by the talent that surrounds me so I was hesitant to step outside of that 365 hobbyist box. I think that I went through a mid life crisis when I turned 40 or something, because I decided to order some business cards, create a website and have actually started taking on paid shoots here and there. I would like to learn more and grow as a photographer. Currently I have a Nikon D5100, she has been my baby for around 6 years. In a couple of weeks, I will be celebrating my 41st birthday, so I decided that I am going to treat myself to a D750. Impatiently waiting for it to be shipped. LOL

I am looking forward to interacting and learning from you all. From what I have seen so far, there is some incredible talent in here.

Welcome!
I've been kind of in the same boat. I love my d7000... but not sure when I'll upgrade. Congrats on the paid jobs! I've had a few and find them very rewarding.

Welcome

It happens, you start with one and move on to another. And then there are the lenses, and flashes - don't get me started on bags and gadgets. . . . But it is a grand ride.

I bough a D5100 too, a few years back with two lens kit, and wow, never thought I'd ever pay that kind of money for a camera.
Few years later, went FX with a D610 and with lens was way more than twice what I'd paid for the D5100 and I thought this is too much but I want it. And I had just turned 60 so great excuse.

I kept the D5100 and we still use it. Best of both.
