Hello everyone new to photography. I have had an interest in it for a while so this year I purchased the D5500 and ready to get out and shoot. My kids are very active so I will be using the camera a lot at baseball, softball, and flag football games. I will also be taking inside at plays, events, and some park/landscape photography.

I joined this forum to help me grow in photography and I am a real techie.

To start I have the Nikon D5500, AF-P 15-55mm VR; AF-S VR 55-200mm IF Ed; AF-S DX 35mm 1.8

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

If you fill out your profile and add the camera gear we can better answer any questions that you might have.
You can do that at http://nikonites.com/profile.php?do=editprofile

Under camera just put the model number like D7100; Once you put the first letter like D you will see a list of all the cameras in the database pop up. The more numbers you put in the smaller the list becomes. When you see your camera just click on it, Be sure to click on "Save Changes" in the lower right corner.

Thanks

Thanks for all the welcome messages. Recently I have been taking a lot of pictures indoors. I was wondering if I should purchase a better Walk-Around Zoom lens the on I currently have is the kit lens (Nikon AF-P 18-55mm 3.5-5.6G). A lot of the images are showing dark and I am also getting the same results from my AF-S DX 55-200mm 4-5.6G ED. When I use my Nikon 35mm 1.8G the picture quality change is drastic.

Any suggestions of should I just increase the ISO. I saw and researched a couple of lenses Nikon 17-55mm and Nikon 16-80mm both are a bit pricey. I also researched at the Nikon 18-140mm and the Nikon 18-105mm.

Maybe you could submit some of your photos with exif data and we could start from there
