D7200 Newbie

My wife bought me a D7200 for a combined birthday/anniversary/christmas present.

My first serious was a Nikon F2 in 1974 (which I lost in my divorce - don't ask)

It has taken almost 20 years to get a decent camera again, and with the transition from film to digital has been a real learning experience.

Lately I have been spending too many early morning hours doing long exposures of the night sky.

But now I'm trying to tackle time-lapse sequences. But I'm getting "flicker" so that's why I came here. to get some help on getting good time lapse sequences.

Welcome from Oregon.

Lucky you; what a great camera. Be sure to spend some time with the manual, and/or the various YouTube videos that are often excellent sources of information.

You have the D7200 in your settings try turning on exposure smoothing it is under your time lapse settings, my timelapses have only been daytime but if your light is changing as in dusk or dawn try smoothing, I understand this controls flicker. I am new to my D7200 myself.
