Hello Y'all from Texas!

Hello my name is Laura Buchanan from the beautiful hill country in the heart of Texas! I am an introvert so getting on these forums has always been a bit difficult for me but I think that I am ready to give it a try so that perhaps I can learn to reach out for insights from people who have been in this realm a lot longer than I have. I am fairly new to all this so please forgive me if I post incorrectly. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and I look forward to exploring this site!

Welcome Laura. This is a great place to hang out to learn Nikon Photography. We won't hold it against you that you are from Texas. There are others on here from Texas also and we don't hold it against them either. ;) Don't hesitate to jump in if you have a question or want to post some of your photos. Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum. You are off to a great start and with the best camera. There is a very dedicate group of D750 shooters here so we are happy to have one more. Now we want to see some great photos from the Heart of Texas. Visited Houston and Dallas a couple of weeks ago.

Here is a guide to posting that will help you get started. Ask questions any time.

Guidelines to adding a photo to your post.

1. Resize photo to 1000px on the long side.
2. Resolution set to 72ppi (Pixels Per Inch)

These guidelines will be good for viewing on a computer but will not be good for printing. This will help safeguard your copyright.

Howdy Laura and welcome to Nikonites!

There are a few of us Texans around here ... that's why there are so many non-Texans here as well, to spend more time with us. ;) Looking forward to seeing some of your bluebonnet images soon! (I still need to try and capture some bluebonnet images before the rain takes them all away...)

Some of the texans are OK and some are ALL WET.

Welcome, I am the same way, so no worries. Just be careful not to take offense from anyone till you get a feel for the personalities. There is a lot of knowledge here, so don't be scared, step up and learn. You won't be disappointed.

Also a Texas guy here but from the DFW area.

FYI, I have spent 40 years in the hill country, love the area.

I kid about Texas. My sister lives in McKinney, TX just north of Dallas. Just got my metal prints back of my favorite photo I have ever done which is of the dallas Skyline.

Really wish time would have allowed, would have loved to finally meet you Don. Maybe next time or when I make it back your way.

We really are a family here, so again, welcome.
