Hi all from Boyertown, PA

Hello Everyone,
I am new to photography but so far I am really enjoying it. Still a lot to learn though. I bought a D3100 package and have a couple lenses now. Always open to any advice anyone can provide.

Welcome, the D3100 is a great camera to learn with, the guide mode will be very helpful as a beginner. What other lenses did you get?

I got the camera kit...so it came with a 18-55mm, 3.5-5.6 & I bought a 55-200mm, 1.4-5.6. Although...I am still learning what all these numbers mean.

I started out with the same setup. The 18-55 is a great general purpose lens and the 55-200 gives you a good sense of what you can do with a zoom. Soon you will want more!
