Thus the screen name eludes to anyhow. Hello Gentlemen and Ladies. Thank you for accepting me to the forum. Over the last year I have been learning more and more with how my camera works and looking to challenge myself and improve my skills with my D7000. Below is a more recent photo that I took.

Welcome from another Texan.

Nice shot of the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge.

There are few more Texans on here and I am sure they will be along shortly to welcome you.

Howdy from East Dallas (Lakewood area) and welcome to Nikonites!

I had almost the exact same image Wednesday night flying in from Houston ... except the storm was just about to hit, and I only had my iPhone camera ... and the cabin lights were on so I was getting nasty reflections off the window. But in my head, it was exactly the same image ... only different. :)

This was actually fun to shoot. Initially I tried to shoot this in shutter prioritu, but it didn't sustain the artistic approach I was looking for. So I changed my settings to manual, ISO 100, 8 second shutter speed, sorry I do not recall the Fstop.

After seeing my tripod up and briefing my shot, I begin using the remote to rescue the shot. Only thing I didn't notice until after I started post, was the power lines. D'oh!

No big deal you can easily remove the power lines in post, I hadn't noticed them until you mentioned it.
