In what part of NJ do you live? I was born in NJ, but although I was raised and lived most of my life in PA, I did live in NJ for 5 years. My favorite scenic route was the drive along the ocean from Belmar up to Sandy Hook. There are lots of beautiful areas in New Jersey--another scenic drive was on Route 18 along the Watchung Mountains.
