Hi

i am Andre Meier from Pretoria, South Africa.

My interest in photography came from my Dad who was an Air Force Air Photographer. My first camera was a Pentax K1000. I later did a military photography course where i learnt to develop and print in BW and colour (old school). I also played around with Kodak cameras before moving on to Nikon.

Whilst in Iraq I used D2 with a 500mm Mirror lens to take photos for the company I worked for.

I was employed in Afghanistan, were I took hundreds of photos whilst flying over the eastern areas. My favourites are landscape and aircraft (military).

My future lens will be the 300mm fixed lens.

Further to my progress I have upgraded from CS3 to CS 6 as well as Lightroom. So it will be the start of a new learning curve.

Hi Andre welcome,

I just recently got back from Bali where I ran into some cool South Africans, and have travelled 10 countries in Africa so I for one am looking forward to your photos.
