Welcome. Yes, I saw your videos posted on yt, but I don't like idea of downgrading the firmware (1.04 to 1.03)... Inform us when you catch up...

"it has 'Clean HDMI & LCD Liveview' for D5100 v1.01 & for D7000 v1.03 (
the latest two firmware are not currently patched.)"
That's what I meant. Thanks anyway...

Have you not read about Nikon's recent firmware 1.02, disabling batteries & battery grips, anyway Simeon is working on D7000 & higher end cams,
the guy is doing a great job, myself is mainly working on D5100 & D3100, but slowly working through the patches so there compatible with Fw 1.02.
1.02 only gives better support for El-en14a batteries, while Nikon was doing this fw it gave them the opportunity to disable 3rd party hardware.
But all this has changed recently after hacking their recent Firmware to allow 3rd party hardware to function again...

I don't know anything about it - the 1.04 produces no issues with my third party battery (replica of EL15) and a buster (replica of MB D11) on a D7000.

Hello welcome to the forum, UK Hacker does have an ominous tone to it. Also how did you come by 4cc3ss?

Thank you Scott Murray, Yes i guess it does have a ominous tone, maybe i should have approached the forum without 'Hacker' as i don't hack. :)
Good question, maybe because i do a lot of hex editing, instead of using Access i decided to replace 4=A 3=E. :)

Still doesn't make sense to me but I am sure there is some coding logic involved there ;)

Welcome, and by coincidence I just put in the hacked version of the D5100 firmware to allow use of manual mode and liveview screen, and no compression of the raw files. Let's say I was sweating a bit when I did it, but it went well and i had a happy half hour watching my live screen brighten and darken in response to changing the controls in manual mode. Cheers.
