Of Cumbria (UK). Hi I am Mark Regan, also known as The Regsy, I have been taking photos for years since Practica and Pentax 35mm stuff followed by a break from photography when I got fed up with development costs. Finally after flirting with point and shoot digitals then a Konica Z2, Fuji S8000 and S9600 I managed to purchase a second hand Fuji S2 pro and a Nikon D40, I found that I preferred the more 'Pro' leanings of the Fuji and sold the D40 but after 10,000 plus photos with the Fuji (mainly at local music festivals) I felt it was time for an upgrade and after a load of looking and reading I have ended up with a D2x (already posted a review of my first impressions) and looking forward to this years festival season. I have loads of photos up on my website (Welcome to theregsy.co.uk Photos from the Cumbrian festivals) comments and constructive cricism is always welcome. I look forward to having some images to post here soon. See ya around. Mark

I am aware that the old S2 pro has a cult following, after a couple of shoots with the D2x I can see this beast developing a similar following. While its not up to the standard of the newer D3 series or the D700 it just has so much going for it. Apart from the outstanding image quality, especially under ISO 800 there is that feel that if required you could use it hammer a nail in then go back to taking photos. The look of awe on peoples faces when you drag this monster out of your camera bag (made even worse by the fact I am using a flash bracket at the moment) tickles me no end. There are always a lot of amateur photographers around at the gigs I go to, a lot using D3000 type cameras and the D2x is regarded with envy although it probably takes photos no better than anything else used. Gotta love it :)
