Greetings from the rainy Pacific NW!

I thought I would say hello and introduce myself.
I'm a semi-newbie to DSLR. I moved up from a Canon ELPH P/S to Panasonic LX-5 for a little over a year then took an intro to DSLR photography class for 6 weeks before my wonderful manfriend gifted me with a D5100 and I fell in love with DSLR photography in this beautiful corner of the country.

Being where I am, it allows me to venture out and take wonderful landscape/wildlife pictures, as well as some night photography. I've recently upgraded to D7000 in the hopes of converting my D5100 to an full IR converted camera for the very nice manfriend's Xmas gift this year. He's moving onto full frame himself from D5100.

In regards to this, I have some questions for those who have experience in IR photography (I have none) but I'll post that in a different thread.

Looking to learn and share enjoyment in taking pictures with a group of likeminded folks here.

Thanks for reading!

Hi there, and welcome to Nikonites. I'm going to guess you're of the female persuasion ;) , as it's hard to tell from here ;) without you filling out the rest of your profile. :)
Looking forward to seeing some of your D7000 shots, and if you have any questions...don't be afraid to ask. :) Enjoy!

Thx, Don and fotojack!
I just updated my profile picture though I'm not certain the ponytail is a dead giveaway that I am of the female persuasion ;)
Ok, on to posting my question about IR filters.....
