Hello from PA

Hi. I'm new here. Could someone please tell me how to post a question about settings for a Nikon D5000 with a AF-S 55-300 lens. I'm trying to shoot high school football but having trouble with some blurry pictures. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Without seeing specifics I'm going to assume that your shutter speed is too slow to catch the action. Getting it fast enough for a night game is going to mean cranking the ISO up, which will introduce some noise, so make sure that you adjust the High ISO NR appropriately. Shoot in Aperture Priority mode with your Auto ISO set so that your minimum shutter speed is 1/250. Drop your aperture down to a click above maximum and have at it.
