Hi all;
This is my first post, nice to meet you all.
My name is Peter and I live in central Scotland (UK), a small town called Alloa, close to Stirling, I'm originally from (Belfast) N-Ireland.
Been into photography for 25/30yrs, although I'm only a few years shooting digital as I cut my teeth about 25yrs ago on Nikon FM2n and FM bodies, large format 5x4, medium format 6x7/6x6 etc, manual focus is a great learning curve, and I'm self taught in the dark room printing only black & white, but I don't possess a darkroom anymore.
Been shooting with Canon for nearly two years, but only recently jumped ship on the Canon club and on the verge of buying a Nikon D800 body soon.
Only today I've done a deal for a mint/used Carl Zeiss 21mm f/2.8 Diastagon T* ZF lens, I want to get into serious landscape photography. I know nothing about the D800 body as yet, but can't wait to get stuck in here on this forum and post my body of photographic work.
I've been shooting quite a bit of floral photography, and a little abstract, so now I want to focus (excuse the pun) on landscapes, exciting times ahead....!!!
Regards;
Peter
