Welcome to the site Paul, I have never owned a D60. But its not the camera, but the eye behind it that makes a good shot. Good luck with the new camera.

Curt is right, it is the photographer that makes the shot. We used to have a saying when i shot archery, "it is not the bow but the jerk on the string". You have a great camera, make it dance and share your pics. Welcome to the site.
